Jul 17, 2023 by Jacob Michelfelder about  Star S74 Pool Cue:
"This stick was my replacement cue for my old vintage mcdermott, that stick had a thinner shaft. After working in my kamui soft tip the stick is shooting like a dream perfect balance point. My issue i had with it was the shaft didn’t come finished properly but its not unplayable or something it just needed to be smoothed out around the end shaft better. Design is beautiful and wrap is solid feel to it, i overall can say this stick shoots like a high end market stick for a very good price. Shaft performs very good since its mcdermott maple shaft which is almost no different then a high end shaft feel tbh it feels better. I am gonna swap out for a nice i pro next and this stick will have no competition "

Advantages: Best stick for your money

Disadvantages: None

Sep 6, 2022 by Robert Piungree about  Predator BK RUSH Sport Wrap Break Cue:
"Hi Heath,

I just wanted to say how impressed I am with your service. I really liked the way you called me direct and did not stop calling me, even though I hung up on you 2 times in a row thinking you were spam.

Then you told me that you apologized and wanted to let me know that you oversold, but would have a shipment next Thursday and would get it out to me as soon as you could. Now I get an email at 8:40 AM my time saying the order was complete and has been shipped.

I can't ask for better customer service. Now granted I have not received the order yet so I can't say what condition it is in, but I am sure it was fine...

Anyway, I was just blown away by your service and thought you should know. I just wish more companies had your sense of value and responsibility.
Thanks,

Bob Pingree."

Jul 25, 2022 by Dave Nader about  Sledgehammer SH1 Break Cue With Sports Grip:
"The McDermott SH break cue arrived in perfect condition. Had been using a Predator BK2 for years. Was not thrilled with the quality, especially the shaft. Never was laser straight and got worse over time. Predator's customer service pretty much told me it was surely my fault. Cue had been meticulously cared for.

The McDermott hits great and quality appears to be to the highest standard. Haven't had time to use it much, but that will change soon.
I must say that Aimie the manager at Manning Cues took the time to listen and share her knowledge and experience, which was the deciding factor in my decision to purchase. Between you sharing your knowledge on your site and Aimie, you've earned my highest respect and recommendation! Well done."

Mar 29, 2022 by djpstacked about  Predator BK RUSH No Wrap Break Cue:
"Great break cue. I upgraded from my bk3 which I honestly had no issues with.
I wanted to get the latest and greatest. Well this break cue hits hard. I feel the transfer of energy is very good and an improvement from the bk3. I dont have to put as much force into my break as I did with the bk3 and I can still spread them very well. Also I feel I have a bit more control as well. The tip is very hard but not phenolic so it gives you a bit more forgiveness if your a tad out without miscueing. I find I’m popping the ball more as well. Also the shaft is very light. I added an ounce to give me a better weight balance. Was 18 oz now 19oz. Let my teammates try it out as well for fun and all them were pleasantly surprised by how well it spreads the balls. "

Advantages: Energy transfer
Control
Slick shaft
Appearance
Resistance to dings
Resale value

Disadvantages: Cost is steep

Feb 28, 2022 by Gerald Rogers about  McDermott SL11 Pool Cue:
"I want to give you my review of the newly-received McDermott SL-11 Carbon Fiber Cue with the DEFY 12mm tip.

I took it to a pool hall, having never played there, and found the new cue very lively from the get-go. It was easy putting English on the cue ball, either left or right and putting a draw back on the cue ball.

What I have been told by the owner of the pool hall to keep in mind when using the carbon fiber cue as opposed to a cue with a wood shaft is to not pull back and jab at a shot, rather, pull back slowly and follow through slowly to let the shaft do the work.

As I am just working my way back into the game like I have never done before, most everything I do is a learning experience to me. I do feel very confident that this new SL-11 will make me a better player than I am. I feel very comfortable with McDermott products. I also feel very comfortable with Manning Cues and especially Amy with all her knowledge and expertise.

I am going to be a regular Manning Cue customer from this day forward.

Dec 28, 2021 by Albert Speziali about  X5 Forward Cue Extension:
"The X5 is perfect for taller players, like me, who need something longer than a standard 58" cue. Without the extension, I was stuck with a bridge length of 5 to 6 inches (at most)if I wanted to position my grip and forearm properly for a pendulum stroke. Now I can bridge at 10-12 inches and use a much smoother stroke when I need power. It's a huge advantage. Aimee Reid at Manning Cues helped me return the butt extension I bought without talking with Heath or her (dumb move on my part) and set me up with the X5. I've been buying all of my equipment and supplies from Manning for more than a year and love the customer service. They've got my business as long as they want it. "

Advantages: Excellent for taller players who need a cue longer than the 58" standard.
Matches up with my Joss Sneaky Pete perfectly. Joints between the cue forearm (butt end of cue), X5, and shaft are tight and seamless. Cue rolls straight and true when tested on the table at my house and the ones at the local pool hall.
The price is unbelievably low considering the quality of the X5, and the price of a custom cue.
Although the X5 adds 1.8 oz of weight, it's barely perceptible. The balance is outstanding as it moves the CG slightly forward to make the cue a tiny bit tip heavy, a bonus in my book. You can really make the CB dance with this extension.

Disadvantages: None.

Sep 9, 2021 by Clinton Ticer about  Littman LED 5' x 2' Aluminum Tournament Edition Light:
"If you are looking for a table light then you can stop here and not look any further. The Littman LED is incredible and casts the perfect amount of light on the table to eliminate shadows. The low profile (about 3 inches high) makes it perfect for hanging in places without a high ceiling to still keep the light well above the table. Installation was relatively easy. The product is lightweight, my wife and I were able to hang the light by ourselves without any other help. The light has a cable with a small hook on each end to attach to your mount. I hooked mine to the joists in my basement roof, I had to do a little work to get the spacing right on the supports but after that it was easy to just hang the light on the support. It has a standard plug and I just plugged it right in after that. It’s great!"

May 17, 2021 by Scott Harper about  McDermott H1050 Pool Cue:
"This cue is beautiful. I feel like it was made just for me. I am 6'8" and ordered the 31" shaft, PERFECT! I have not messed with the weight balance adjustment because I like it the way it came. The cue took exactly 3 weeks to receive from time of ordering which is what I was told to expect. The Navigator soft tip that comes standard on the I2 shaft is fantastic. I am so glad I didn't switch it out for something different. It has a nice solid hit and feels great in my hands. The engage butt system makes attaching and detaching the 11" extension so quick and easy. Stretch shots are almost as easy as regular shots now.

Apr 28, 2021 by Kyle Jarvis about  Predator Revo 12.4 mm Shaft-Uni-Loc-Black Vault Plate:
"It was easier then I expected to transition for the i3 shift from McDermott. It plays vary smooth and doesn't have the nasty chulk residue build up thats a pain to clean off."

Advantages: You get more ball control with less action giving you a opportunity to learn to throw the cue ball longer and more Actually!

Disadvantages: I have not came across any yet but will update if needed

Mar 21, 2021 by Randy Burk about  Simonis 860 - Slate:
"Love the Simonis, I never thought that cloth could change the way a table plays by this much. I ordered a different color and Heath called to tell me about the color being back ordered, so I went with slate and couldn't be happier. Great customer service, fast shipping, great product, Manning Cues is the best!"

Mar 14, 2021 by Perry Anderson about  Cuetec Cynergy 15K Radial Thread CTCF:
"I waited a few weeks after receiving it to review this cue and I can say that I am extremely happy. I was hesitant to try carbon fiber but found that for me it hit even better than my maple Jacoby Hybrid LD cue.
Everything I researched suggested that there would be a "learning curve" when first using this shaft, but I had zero issue on shot number one. I was also pleasantly surprised with the Tiger Sniper tip and the ease of keeping the shaft clean.
I ordered on late afternoon on a Thursday and Heath had it to me in Ohio on Monday. I have ordered multiple items from Heath and I am definitely going to be a life long customer. His customer service is impressive as hell and if you've seen his YouTube videos you'll understand that he wants to give his all to the pool community. "

Advantages: Super easy to clean.
No glove required (which I always thought was needed with carbon fiber until speaking with Heath).
The "feedback" from the shaft is much much better than some other CF shafts I tried.

Disadvantages: I'm a little worried about the finish being easily scratched by abrasives (like chalk), and the fact it cannot be refinished. However this is common to all CG shafts and in no way a reflection on the Cynergy.

Oct 15, 2020 by Anthony Cheng about  Predator BK RUSH Sport Wrap Break Cue:
"My personal opinion about the BK Rush is that, it one-upped my expectations.

From the start, I have an idea what I'd be getting my hands at for that cry-me-a-river cost.
I primarily seek the hybrid tip, which is not sold separately up to this point in time.
It's not so much about the carbon fiber despite being a significant contributor to the cost.

When I got the BK Rush, I expected it to allow me to break with more control. (It surely does.)
For instance compared to my $80 break cue, this allows me to break easier for the 8-ball game 2nd-ball break method.
If you are not familiar, this method requires a break with english.
And therefore, it is not as easy nor accurate when performed using a phenolic break cue.

What goes beyond my expectation was that, because it allows English to be imparted on the cue ball,
I was able to break and run* both 8-ball and 9-ball games with it. (Only once each game; I'm not an avid player; But I played with this cue enough to be able to comment)
After all, how many break cues allow you to draw the cue ball at table-length?

*But then also, just because it can doesn't mean that it's sufficient.
Compared to the regular playing cues, maybe other than house cues, the break cue still fare below them as far as performance for purpose of playing.

Why it matters to me is that, I have been looking for a second cue to add to the arsenal in the case that my primary cue is unavailable for some reason (i.e. the tip fell off).
After the starry eyes subsided in experiencing this cue, I'm now seriously considering whether or not I'd keep this break cue as a secondary playing cue as well.
I'd still give handicap in this case; but in an "emergency" situation,
it is actually not even close to desperado when continuing the game with this cue.

I went off a tangent there. We are supposed to be talking about a break cue... used for breaking right?
Well, as mentioned early on, I have an initial idea of what I'm expecting out of this cue. But it one-upped my expectations.
There is only so much to breaking, isn't there? But there are a lot more to this cue than just a controlled break.

This would be my honest impression about this cue.
"

Advantages: - Bestest (in my opinion) tip to ever be made

- Durability of Carbon Fiber Shaft

- Comfortable grip

- Ability to fine-tune weight to within 0.1oz

Disadvantages: - Cost

- As break cue: none compared to others

- As playing cue: while English is possible, the tip can go as far right/left compared to using regular playing cue.
I'm aware that this is unfair as an advantage. But this means, there is a limit to the type of shots this cue can do when used as a backup playing cue.

Oct 12, 2020 by Vinnie about  Pure X HXT15 Pool Cue:
"“I ordered a Pure X HXT15 for my son’s birthday. He absolutely loves it, no more house cues. It is a well-balanced stick, and the Low Deflection is much more forgiving than what he was playing with previously. I have never played the top of the line LD cues but this stick is a definite upgrade. You would be hard-pressed to find a better stick under $200. Regarding customer service, I had a problem tracking my order due to a typo. Heath personally fixed it, no two-hour-long run around with an operator. It’s refreshing to see someone that cares for their customer’s satisfaction."

Oct 8, 2020 by Anthony Brooks about  Mezz IG12.2U Ignite 12.2 Shaft United Joint:
"I am really loving my ignite shaft. The shaft provides the lowest deflection of any shaft I have used to date. It has a very "tonggy" sounding hit as opposed to the "tinky" sounding hit that some of the other carbon fiber shafts out there have. The hit feels more like a wood hit. I would highly recommend this shaft for anyone trying to elevate their game to the next level. Mr. Manning was very prompt and honest... it was a pleasure doing business with him."

Advantages: Very low deflection and great feeling hit!

Disadvantages: The tip... I didn't care for the zan tip that comes on the shaft from the factory. I replaced the tip with a tiger onyx tip. Made a great shaft even greater!

Oct 1, 2020 by Clarence Givens about  Spartan SPR05 Low Deflection Pool Cue:
"I recently purchased from Manning Cues the Spartan 5 with the 12.75mm LD Pro -Taper with the Kamui Black soft tip and I am starting to become a fan. I spoke with Heath at length about this cue prior to purchased. Well Heath came thru again. The uni-loc joint makes it interchangeable with the Predator Revo as well my other predator shafts. The beauty of this cue you need to have it in your hands to truly appreciate it. Job well done Spartan. Heath you’re gonna make me go broke ????"

Sep 22, 2020 by Marcus Reed about  McDermott Defy Hybrid Carbon Fiber Pool Cue Shafts :
"I purchased a McDermott Defy 12.5 shaft w/ QR. It was a very long wait due to COVID-19, but well worth the wait. I got it this afternoon and shot easily 50 racks before League started. The feel was incredible, glides effortlessly. I didn’t have a single miscue all night, zero deflection, amazing control of the cue ball. The shaft weighs slightly less then a Revo and a league operator that swears by Predator actually ordered himself a Defy shaft after shooting a few racks with mine because of the natural feel. By the way I won my 9ball match 16-4 not to bad for the shafts first league match."

Advantages: Light weight, smooth stroke, allows great cue control, even masse easily.

Disadvantages: Doesn’t come with joint protector. Very disappointed buying a $365 shaft and can’t get a $8 joint protector free with the shaft purchase after waiting 10months.
